This policy explains what limited personal data Supplete collects, how we use it, and the rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable EU data protection law. Supplete is an independent information website: we do not sell products, run a shop or process orders, and we do not run advertising or third-party tracking networks on our pages.

1. The short version

We collect as little data as possible. We use privacy-friendly, anonymous analytics to understand which articles people find useful, and we hold your details only if you choose to contact us or subscribe to updates. We do not sell your data, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not record which outbound or affiliate links you click.

2. Data we collect

Because Supplete is an informational website, we collect very little personal data. We do not run a shop and do not collect names, delivery addresses or payment details. The data we may process is:

Anonymous usage data: aggregated statistics about how the site is used — such as pages viewed, approximate region, browser type and referral source — collected through Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled. This data is aggregated and cannot be traced back to you as an individual.
Communications: your name, email address and message content, but only if you contact us by email or through our contact form.
Optional updates: your email address, only if you choose to subscribe to content updates.

3. Analytics, cookies and link tracking

We want Supplete to be as private as possible to browse:

We use Google Analytics only to gather anonymous, aggregated statistics. IP addresses are anonymised, and the data cannot be used to identify or contact you.
We do not use advertising, marketing or cross-site tracking cookies.
We do not track, log or profile which outbound or affiliate links you click.
We do not build advertising profiles of visitors, and we never sell or share your data with advertisers.

Beyond the anonymous analytics described above, we do not set cookies for advertising or tracking. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; doing so will not affect your ability to read our content.

4. How we use your data

We use this data to: respond to enquiries you send us; understand how the site is used so we can improve our content; and, with your consent, send you occasional updates about new content.

5. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the following legal bases under GDPR: legitimate interest (to operate, secure and improve our site, run privacy-friendly anonymous analytics, and respond to enquiries); and consent (for any optional updates you sign up to, which you can withdraw at any time).

6. Data retention

Communications are retained for up to 3 years from your last contact with us. Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 26 months. If you subscribe to content updates, we keep your email address only until you unsubscribe.

7. Sharing and third parties

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We rely only on service providers that help us operate the site — currently Google Analytics (for the anonymous statistics described above) and our website hosting provider — which process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements.

8. International transfers

Some of our providers, including Google Analytics, may process data on servers outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision.

9. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to: access your data; correct inaccurate data; request erasure; restrict or object to processing; and data portability. 10. Children's privacy

Supplete is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any material change will be reflected here, with a new "last updated" date shown at the top of the page.
